National Occupational Disability and Risk Management Conference & Exhibition

Workers Compensation Conference Partners with CAJPA Fall Event

National Occupational Disability and Risk Management Conference & Exhibition will take place just prior to the CAJPA Fall Conference from September 9-10, 2019. The conference is sponsored by the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation, a non-profit corporation dedicated to workers’ compensation education and outreach.

Hosted at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe Hotel, the goal of the conference is to educate all those who participate in the workers’ compensation system regarding emerging disability management and risk management factors external to workers’ compensation that will affect workers’ compensation benefits, including coordination with federal and state leave disability program.

Experts from across the country will be participating in this event including former California Secretary of Labor David Lanier, and former California Director of Industrial Relations Christine Baker. Topics include:

  • Changing the Incentives in Workers’ Compensation and health and safety Systems
  • Developing Leading Indicators of Risk
  • Evident Based Medicine in Workers’ Compensation
