This exempt position manages the Member Services Department which incorporates project management, data analytics, on-site field work, best practice development, training, and communication. The department’s focus is on reducing and preventing loss associated with the membership. The Member Services Manager supervises two full-time employees: Transit Risk Consultant and Training and Risk Coordinator. It serves on the Executive Management Team and works closely and cooperatively with the Administrative Services Manager, Claims Manager, and Executive Director.

To hit the ground running, you will need experience in leading a team, managing multiple and simultaneous projects, facilitating groups, and getting work completed on time and on budget. Further, and importantly, you must have a strong curiosity for data, a demonstrated ability to discern information from it and conclude by telling the story it supports in various ways to differing groups. You must be comfortable using all your communication skills including business writing and research; listening and talking; facilitating groups; and making formal presentations.

Requirements for this position include:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years supervisory experience.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and an intermediate skill in Excel.
  • Above average skills for writing, editing, and proof-reading.
  • Public speaking experience.
  • Ability to research a topic and deliver a message.

Experience we would favor in a candidate, but is not required, include:

  • Transit agency experience
  • Public entity or risk pool experience
  • Supervision of remote teams
