CALL FOR PROPOSALS

CAJPA has released its 2018 Call for Presentations for the annual conference held in September. CAJPA prides itself on offering conference sessions that are high-quality and current allowing our attendees to walk away with new information they can utilize at their own risk sharing pool. CAJPA surveyed members asking for topics they would like to see offered at the conference. Although we encourage presenters to submit proposals on any topic they believe would be valuable to our attendees, a list follows on specific topics that will be given priority during the selection process:

  • Sexual harassment
  • Multigenerational workplace
  • Health and wellness
  • Catastrophes and the recent California wildfires
  • Work style and workplace culture
  • Employee training systems
  • Medical consumerism
  • Succession planning
  • Formulary
  • Blockchain and other electronic record systems
  • Captives
  • Board roles and responsibilities
  • Effective board governance
  • Onboarding new board members
  • Leadership
  • Finance

This year, CAJPA will require each submitted proposal to be complete or it will not be considered by the Professional Development Committee. Use the submittal form provided with this email to send your proposal(s). Each submittal MUST have a session title, session description (no more than 175 words), three learning outcomes, speakers (name, agency/firm/company, title, contact information) and an identified moderator. We are requiring a submitter to also identify no more than three appropriate audiences for the session. Our goal is to have comprehensive proposals to provide to the Professional Development Committee to help expedite selection and finalize program.

Deadline for submissions is January 26, 2018.

We look forward to receiving and reviewing all proposals. Thank you for your continued support of CAJPA!
