The California Association of Joint Powers Authorities (CAJPA) is proud to present the 28th Annual Fall Conference and Training Seminar. The CAJPA Fall Conference is the largest educational event for joint powers authorities in the Nation and continues to draw approximately 1,000 attendees each year.  There is no other event that compares!

 

 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEES

 

All registration is online.  CLICK HERE to go directly to the online registration system. 

 

CAJPA Members:       

$300 (before July 15), $350 (after July 15)

Non-Members:

$700 (before July 15, $750 (after July 15)

Additional company representatives from and exhibiting or sponsoring company:  $250 each 

Spouse/Guest:         

$100 (includes lunches and receptions only – no exhibit hall access)

Golf Tournament:

$125/player

 

There are no exhibit-only registrations.

Registration fee is $125/player and includes green fee, golf cart, practice range, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes! Always a fun, fun day and a good way to begin your conference experience.

 HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

The Fall Conference will be at three South Lake Tahoe Hotels – Harrah’s, Harvey’s and Embassy Suites – that are situated just across the street from one another on the corner of Lake Tahoe Blvd. and the California/Nevada Stateline.  

 

CAJPA has contracted for rooms at each of these hotels.  All conference attendees and exhibitors are responsible for making their hotel reservations with the hotels. The room blocks are open now and the reservation cut-off date for our blocks is August 14. You are encouraged to make your hotel reservation ONLY WHEN you are certain you and/or your attendees are confirmed to attend the conference. A signifcant number of late-cancellations in prior years has prompted the hotels to institute the following cancellation policies:

 

Non-refundable: One night NONREFUNDABLE deposit is due with the reservation for each room reserved. Any cancellation will forfeit this deposit regardless of cancellation timeframe.

 

Outside of 14 days prior to arrival changes or revisions (not cancels) can be made at no fee.

 

Inside 14 days of arrival any changes or revision-the actual length of stay plus the one night nonrefundable will be charged.

 

HARRAH'S AND HARVEY'S LAKE TAHOE

Each standard guest room is deluxe-sized with over 500 sq. feet of space that includes two complete bathrooms with a king or two double beds.

 

Room Rate:   

$119/night plus tax (Sun - Thurs)

$189/night plus tax (Fri-Sat)* based on availability

 

HARVEY'S

Harvey’s Resort & Casino is located on the pristine shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe, America's largest alpine lake.

 

Room rate:

$109/night plus tax (Sun - Thurs)

$179/night plus tax (Fri – Sat) * based on availability

 

Mountain Tower Rooms:

$ 69/night plus tax (Sun - Thurs)

$159/night plus tax (Fri – Sat) * based on availability

 

At both Harrah’s and Harvey’s, rates are based on single or double occupancy.  A $20 surcharge per guest, per room, per night will apply for each additional person over 2 people regardless of age.   Pre and post convention rates are available for two days before and after program prior to the cut off date of August 16, 2010.

Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Resort

 

Guest Suite Rate:     $149/night plus tax (Sunday-Thursday)

                             $249/night plus tax (Friday-Saturday)

                             Rates do not include local taxes.

 

Embassy Suites Hotel Lake Tahoe Resort reservations include a two-room suite, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, and evening reception.  

 

Rates will be offered, based on availability, three days before and three days after the conference program dates.   There is an additional $30 charge per night for any guest who specifically requests a suite with two double beds.  Call the hotel if you have trouble making an online reservation for only one bed in the suite.  Guests departing early will be charged a $50 early departure fee.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Travel arrangements are the responsibility of the individual registrant.  Check with your local travel agent regarding commercial airline flights to South Lake Tahoe, Sacramento or Reno.

 

Shuttle service is available from the Reno and South Lake Tahoe airports by South Tahoe Express.  Book your transportation online at www.southtahoeexpress.com or by calling 1-866-89-TAHOE.

 

If you are driving, take Highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe/Stateline.  Harrah’s Lake Tahoe is on the corner of Highway 50 (Lake Tahoe Blvd.) and Lake Tahoe Parkway.

Exhibitors and Sponsors may register now!

Priority registration is available for returning exhibitors and sponsors through February 15, 2010. As a returning exhibitor, you may choose the same booth as 2009 or have priority to be assigned to another booth that is not assigned by February 15.

Returning sponsors may also register for the same sponsorship level and event/sponsored item if they register by February 15.

The brochures will not be mailed - please download and print or save to your computer for future reference.
